Politics, or comedy?
Is it possible that this is actually Tina Fey? Please, tell me it is. The alternative is… too horrible to contemplate.
Sarah Palin on Foreign Policy – CBS interview with Katie Couric
Kathleen Parker, described by CNN as a “prominent conservative columnist“, initially supported Sarah Palin but now concedes that she is “out of her league” and suggests she step down.
“Only Palin can save McCain, her party, and the country she loves. She can bow out for personal reasons, perhaps because she wants to spend more time with her newborn. No one would criticize a mother who puts her family first.
Do it for your country.”
Surely subeditors across the globe are setting the heading “Palin into insignificance” in anticipation…
Palin is a joke. But Americans appear to like two dimensional politicians.
Also Gerard Henderson wrote in the SMH today that Obama’s running mate Biden said that “Roosevelt addressed the nation during the monetary crisis at the start of the Great Depression and Bush should as well.”
I don’t know whose his advisor’s are but there was no TV at that time.
US politics depress me or maybe I just need to get over that Hilary was not nominated.
Oh, wow… I’m really hoping that Biden didn’t say that, but mostly I realise that he probably did. Politics can be depressing. I just wish our govt would stop accepting the line that the previous govt sold (i.e. that, under this particular system, they control the economy). Once all politicians agree that the economy is run by narcissistic wankers (there’s a reason that rhyming slang works) they might start to try to redress the imbalance.
Other than that, I’m all for Tina Fey getting more exposure. Love 30 Rock.
